Since 2011, we’ve been setting the new standard in connectivity. Broadband had stopped short of peoples’ homes and expectations. So we stepped up and took to the streets, taking full fibre all the way. Working tirelessly to take the con out of connectivity. We give people hyperfast speeds, and rock solid reliability delivered by rock star engineers.

Hyperoptic is now live in 64 towns and cities, with more joining the network every year. Our specialists work with property professionals, developers and government bodies to plan full fibre around each building. Week by week, we are connecting more homes and bringing gigabit broadband to more people across the UK.
Shaking up the face of broadband
Dana Tobak, Hyperoptic’s CEO and co-founder, has spent more than 20 years building technology businesses, including Be* Unlimited. Her work has helped accelerate the rollout of full fibre across the UK. Awarded a CBE in 2018, Dana continues to lead Hyperoptic’s mission to bring better broadband to more people.

From a few people with a big idea, we've continued to lead the transformation of UK connectivity with our pioneering full fibre network.
2011
The UK’s first residential 1Gb broadband
We launch the UK’s first residential 1Gb broadband service in London, giving customers speeds over 100 times faster than the average at the time.
2013
Our in-house installation team launches
We bring installations in-house to give customers a better experience, supported by funding from Soros.
2014
Hyperoptic expands beyond London
We launch in Cardiff, Bristol, Liverpool and Manchester.
2015
Flexible monthly broadband arrives
We become the first provider to offer monthly rolling broadband, setting a new standard for flexibility with no strings attached.
2017
Available across 35 towns and cities
Our service expands across 35 towns and cities, supported by funding from a consortium of Tier 1 European banks.
2018
The first UK ISP to trial 10Gb speeds
We become the first UK broadband provider to trial 10Gb speeds and receive funding from Mubadala Investment Company.
2019
Connecting new-build homes from day one
We achieve a 99% success rate for connecting new-build homes from the day residents move in, supported by investment from KKR.
2020
Supporting the UK through Covid-19
We offer free landline calls to help customers stay connected during Covid-19 and are named in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for the fourth year running.
2021
Ten years of Hyperoptic
We celebrate a decade since connecting our first property, setting the standard for full fibre and expanding hyperfast broadband to 57 towns and cities.
2022
A landmark year for Hyperoptic
We launch Hyperoptic Total Wi-Fi, are named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™, partner with Disney and Pixar, and introduce our Fair Fibre Framework.
2023
Broadband Provider of the Year
We win Uswitch Broadband Provider of the Year, partner with The Prince’s Trust and SOS Children’s Villages Serbia, and unveil our refreshed brand.
2024
Which? Best Value
We're recognised as a Which? Great Value provider, outperforming the industry ‘Big Four’.
2025
Best Telecoms Innovation
We win Best Telecoms Innovation at the Uswitch Telecoms Awards for our Managed Wi-Fi solution.
