Overview
Most customers require an installation appointment before their Hyperoptic service can be activated.
The installation process depends on your property type and whether Hyperoptic equipment is already installed.
Do I need an installation?
You may need an installation if:
- You’re a new customer
- You’re moving into a property that has never had Hyperoptic services
- Existing equipment needs replacing
Some properties already have the necessary equipment installed and may only require remote activation.
What happens during installation?
An engineer will:
- Confirm the best location for your equipment
- Install or connect the required cabling
- Set up your router
- Test your connection
How long does installation take?
Installation times vary depending on your property.
Most appointments take between one and three hours.
Additional work may take longer.
What if additional work is needed?
Some properties require:
- A pre-installation survey
- Landlord permission
- Building access arrangements
- Wayleave agreements
We’ll let you know if any additional steps are required.
